Your appointment

What to expect and types of consultations

We offer several types of consultations to best meet your needs:

📱 Phone consultations: Often quicker and more flexible

🖥️ Video consultations: For visual assessments when an in-person visit isn’t necessary

👥 Face-to-face appointments: For physical examinations or complex issues

During your appointment, be prepared to:

  • Describe your symptoms or concerns
  • Discuss your medical history
  • Ask any questions you may have

If you need an interpreter or have any special requirements, please let us know when booking.

Checking and Cancelling an appointment

  • Telephone the surgery  at least 30 minutes before your appointment time
  • Select option 1 for “Check and Cancel”
  • Provide your Date of birth
  • You will be notified of your upcoming appointment
  • You can then choose to cancel if required

Cancellations notified less than 30 minutes before the appointment time will be recorded as failure to attend (DNA).

Repeated failure to attend booked appointments is a significant waste of NHS resources.

Extended Access

Our Primary Care Networks are working together and are able to provide more appointment hours to patients across NW London.

The changes mean that locally practices are able to provide more appointments during the hours that best suit patients. This includes evening and weekend appointments.

Patients can book by contacting the practice during working our hours hours.

Evening and weekend appointments may take place by phone, video, or face-to-face depending on clinical need. Patients may be offered an appointment at their GP practice, another local GP practice or another local NHS service.

These changes mean we can provide more appointments for patients when they most need them.

Appointments are available in the evening and at weekends on Saturday – please call the practice on 020 8204 2255 to book an appointment.

If it’s not urgent you can also use the online consultation form on the practice website, which will be responded in practice hours.

You may be offered an appointment at your own GP practice, another local GP practice or another local NHS service. This is because we are working with other local GP practices to provide these appointments – our practice is part of a small group of practices called a Primary Care Network. Working together means we can provide more local services to you.

Our new evening and weekend opening times will be:

  • Kenton Clinic’s  Extended Hours will be on Tuesday evenings 6.30pm to 8.00pm (only telephone appointments)
  • Saturday Clinic will be in rotation with other group of practices every 7th week
